Postmodernism

Today's reading talked about postmodernism. The reading likens postmodern artists to that of explorers of past centuries who try to represent the past in a way that is unique and different. My favorite quote from the reading is, "Postmodern city-dwellers are alienated, living in a hallucination, an exhilarating blur, a reality evaporating into mere images, spectacles, strange new warps in time and space, fixated on commodities, on products, on images...". This was my favorite quote because it talked about how different a single piece of postmodern art can be from another.
